Re: Five months since HF2. Will there be 5.4?
I think you will find that P3D will be around a lot longer than that new sim that is out now 2 years on and that other sim has not graduated very far Based on what ? The new Sim has a minimum of 10 year development and support according to the makers and the big company behind it… And the other Sim...

Re: Five months since HF2. Will there be 5.4?
I think some people here need to remember who L-M's target group is.... (and where their revenue comes from). Hint - it is not the so-called "sofa-simmers". Jorgen There are P3D based professional flightsims that use P3D as a base icw a streamed outside world. And they do not use the othe...

Re: Five months since HF2. Will there be 5.4?
LM is a very large company: they can implement every trick in the book if they want to. No they can’t. They are limited in what they can change in P3D in accordance with the licence from Microsoft. They have made multiple changes like 64 but and EA. Surely they can improve on the terrain too.

Re: Five months since HF2. Will there be 5.4?
LM is orientated on the professional market. We in the consumer market are of no importance. For me with a home cockpit P3D has always been stable. It still is. But the scenery / clouds are lagging compared to not only MSFS, but also several games …. If LM would implement tiles streaming into P3D th...

Any news on a Fix? Quote : “I had this problem, but have changed my display setting in Nvidia to Dynamic Super Resolution 2715x1527. It was still a problem, so I decided to completely uninstall HiFi Active Sky, and manually delete its folder. Then reinstalling it. Things are working perfectly now, ...

Re: New Job Scheduler Entries
If you clear out the affinity mask settings from your config, Prepar3D should populate it with defaults based on the number of logical cores detected. That should give you a decimal number with one bit per core. (eg 65535 is generated for 16 logical cores on an 8 core i7 with hyperthreading enabled...

Re: Incredible looking clouds by bumping AS layers to 10 plus.
Looking very good. An OC with 3-5 cloud layers mostly looks kind of flat. It has improved though in HF1. For a test : do not use AS but Fair Weather and then set to OC with cloud tops to 12500. Slew above the clouds and it will look very good. You will see the much better OC if the cloud thicknesss ...

Red text a little on the menu bar in windowed mode
Hello team,
Not a major thing and only visible in windowed mode.
The top of the text overlaps a little with the menu bar.
Regards,
Gerard

Your night sky looks good. Nothing wrong with it.
Moon lighting always brightens the clouds depending on the moon phase.
Look at some YT vids from real world cockpit recordings at night.

This should be fixed ASAP as flying between the mountains with clouds looks very terrible.

Re: CPU Usage up, GPU usage down results in worse performance.
With my 14 core 7940X I am also using an AM like I do for years. But v5.2 puts about 5-10% more load on the main thread core and 30-40% more load on the terrain cores. My 3090 has a load drop of almost 20%z This is compared to v5.1 with the same settings… So I use more load on the CPU and less on th...
