Thanks, Kayla. I guess it was just too big of a deal to get foveated rendering yet and I also saw someone mention L-M would need to move to the latest DirectX. At any rate, still hoping for ways to increase performance and visual detail.
Cheers!

Re: Vive Pro Eye tracking in 4.5 question
I just did the update to Prepar3D 4.5 and checked the VR menu. Eye tracking is apparently only used for controlling the virtual cursor.
I don’t have a Vive Pro Eye to verify but that is all the help tag said in the VR menu. It appears no foveated rendering yet.
Sigh.

Vive Pro Eye tracking in 4.5 question
With eye tracking available in Vive Pro Eye and P3D 4.5 now supporting it, can we assume that foveated rendering is implemented now as well?
If foveated rendering is available now in P3D, what sort of graphics performance improvement is being seen?
Thanks!

Re: p3d v4.4 FPS
@patful - Thanks! I’ll look into that!
@JorgenSA - Those of us who fly in VR definitely chase frame rates. It can make a huge difference in realism and comfort. And you are definitely right about fast memory. In CPU-limited, memory-intensive apps like P3D, fast memory can make a big difference.

Thanks Mario! I’ll give that a try.

Re: p3d v4.4 FPS
@patful - is that the Orbx freeware traffic for North America and/or Australia and New Zealand? I wonder if that’s what I’m seeing too. I have those installed and didn’t even think about having GA traffic in P3D also turned on. Is it enough to just turn the slider to zero or is there a toggle/edit s...

Re: p3d v4.4 FPS
I have frame timing graphs available in SteamVR and I think the frame rates are now indeed lower by just a bit. The reprojection works much better in 4.4 though and the timing doesn’t seem to be so critical at least for me in VR.

Re: V4.4 Visual anomalies through prop and when near ground
@Beau Hollis — same as @mariogomezmolina - it seems to be only in VR. I tried looking at just the monitor and no effects noted there. I also video captured with OBS and no effect there. Seems to be only visible in VR. Also, the view through the prop with the scenery objects popping up and down turns...

[Resolved] V4.4 Visual anomalies through prop and when near ground (SteamVR)
This one is kind of bizarre. I’m getting odd visuals when I look through my prop and along wing leading and trailing edges at the ground when taxiing on low wing planes. I'm in VR so it’s easy to look over at the leading edge and see this. The leading edge shows it most when taxiing. It seems to pop...

Re: V4.4 black screen after scenario start
I occasionally get that too but just restart P3D and that fixes it. It seems to happen for me after changing planes. I haven’t been able to get a reproducer, though. Had it in 4.3, now have it in 4.4. Don’t have the Airbus.

I have this happen too, and I did a client install (only, for now).

Re: Great Job Guys!
I’d like to chime in with my thanks too. The visual changes are subtle but lots of things just look better. And so far no issues. Everything works. Beautiful work!
