Re: Again I cant start P3D

Do you have this issue with no addons running with the sim? The exception you're getting, according to your image, is "The string binding is invalid." I would first test the sim with no addons running, to see if it's the sim that is causing the exception. If it isn't, then I would bring each addon b...

Re: P3Dv4.5 Install Location

It would not install in the Program Files (x86) folder as that is the location that Windows place 32-bit applications. It will default to installing into your Program Files folder.

Re: Simconnect not working v4.5

I just ran a test on my system and was able to connect to v4.5 using FSX SimConnect library/DLL without issue. I have started up ActiveSky and it connected to v4.5 without issue.

I am still using Win7, that may be the difference?

Re: Simconnect not working v4.5

The FSX SimConnect is 32-bit and I'm uncertain that it can interact with the 64-bit sim.

Re: Simconnect not working v4.5

Do all of these addons require the FSX version of SimConnect be installed?

Re: ILS "beams" are visible v4.5

That is not a normal sim behavior. You must have an addon that does this.

Re: Overexposed photo scenery in 4.5 and 4.4

It is because you've cranked the brightness and dropped the saturation. It's going to destroy the color vibrance of the actual textures and highlight any bright areas even more than they would normally be. By dropping the saturation, you're reducing the color levels and then increasing the brightnes...

Re: Overexposed photo scenery in 4.5 and 4.4

Could this be an issue with sky textures being replaced with third party textures? I believe some of the lighting behavior comes from pixel data contained in a sky texture. Of course, I could be completely off on this. Just a thought.

Re: Most VORs and ADFs won´t be recignized by the plane anymore. But why?

MUN is a high altitude VOR/DME that would not be detected at low altitudes, especially on the runway surface.

MIQ is at 426.5 according to sim data and the chart only shows 426.

Re: Problems with F-22 rudder control at high speeds

All control surfaces lose effectiveness at higher airspeeds. It is essentially a modified bell curve with regards to surface effectiveness. The F22's rudder is behaving correctly.

Re: Max altitude/speed in Prepar3D v4

I believe the altitude limit is around 100 million feet. This is certainly high enough to support orbital dynamics. However, you would have to create a custom flight/physics engine to achieve shuttle behavior.
