Well whaddyaknow ... tried installing the 2 planes from an add-ons folder from a v4 install ... it worked ... !!

Jorgen ... when you say you put flyable planes in SimObjects, do you mean using the original RealAir installer ... if so, i have a problem with doing that in that when i try to install that way, the only version of the sim available to install to is FSX(all the P3D options greyed out)?? Hi ..... after clicking the desktop icon the splash page opens, the scenery appears to install, but that's it .... the blue circle spins ad infinitum/zero cpu activity ..... interestingly i find that a much reduced cfg file has been created by the install: [GRAPHICS] SCREEN_CAPTURE_MAX_JOBS=10 VIDEO...

Had to reset W10 today to sort an issue unrelated to P3D .... that leaves me with P3D v4.4 on a non-C drive, but of course missing the elements installed on C .... can I run some sort of repair(and if so how?) or is it a case of having to go back to re-installation from scratch???

Hi .... thanks for the reply .... tracked down 2 options, neither of which work straight out of the box .... one i think i will avoid(payware) as it is producing video driver error message when i fire up p3d ... the other(free) i will try to get sorted via their support .... Alan
