Wow that was easy! I did try searching the documentation but guess I didn't know what to look for. Thanks!

[RESOLVED] Changing Date and Time of Saved Scenario
Is there an option to allow someone that loads a scenario created with SimDirector to change the date and time? If I create a scenario, it obviously has a date and time associated with it but is there a setting in SimDirector that will let the end user can change that if they want? Right now, the Da...

Re: SimDirector Crash - Prepar3D_v3_Professional_Plus_3.3.5.17625
Just wanted to say thanks to the Prepar3D team for helping me finally determine it was a weird joystick/driver issue that overloaded SimDirector before it was ready to handle data. The workaround, in case anyone else runs into this issue, is to enable DirectInput in the controls settings (instead of...

Re: SimDirector Crash - Prepar3D_v3_Professional_Plus_3.3.5.17625
I don't know how I've broken it, but I still cannot run SimDirector. I have completely uninstalled the v3 version of Prepar3D on my computer, deleted all of the folders as documented in the forum elsewhere. SimDirector still hangs for about 30 seconds and then crashes. I CAN run SimDirector for Prep...

AI Label Distance
I've searched the forums and have seen similar discussions but haven't seen a definitive answer - Can you set the range for an AI label distance? It looks like it is currently set for 10nm (as that is what I observed for the test scenario I created) but what if I wanted to have the labels visible fu...

Re: ISimObject Vars and colons
I just wanted to confirm that was definitely my problem. I just needed to add a bit of code to the callback on what data to return based on the index. Previously I was trying to register each individual variable/index combination which obviously (well, it is obvious now) won't work. Thanks for the q...

Re: ISimObject Vars and colons
Perfect - I feel certain that you've identified the issue. I was blindly mimicking other code and forgot about the index parameter. I'll check to see where I need to implement that index and see if that solves my problem.
Thanks!

ISimObject Vars and colons
Is there a restriction on using variables with a ":" in the name when using ISimObjects? I discovered that when trying to use an existing SimConnect variable name of "GEAR POSITION:8" in my ISimObject code it didn't seem to work (although all of the other existing variable names ...

Re: SimDirector Crash - Prepar3D_v3_Professional_Plus_3.3.5.17625
I have 368.81 for the Nvidia driver so it is the latest as of a week ago or so. I did use Setup.exe for the installation. I manually loaded the default scenario (which was actually already loaded by well, default) and still get the SimDirector failure. I've moved over to another computer and it all ...

Re: SimDirector Crash - Prepar3D_v3_Professional_Plus_3.3.5.17625
Unfortunately I get the same behavior -
Running from the command line will create a window with a progress bar while loading and ends at 100%, then the window goes away, I get a spinning cursor for about 30 to 45 seconds, and then the Fatal Error Occurred dialog box.

Assuming that you are talking about using the Windows event logs, no other errors appear at or around the same time as the SimDirector/Prepar3D error.

Re: SimDirector Crash - Prepar3D_v3_Professional_Plus_3.3.5.17625
It works fine for v2.5 (installed on the same machine) and I THINK it was working with an earlier release of v3.3. I was performing some ISimObject code development (started on v2.5 and was migrating to v3.3) and then discovered that at some point SimDirector wasn't working. I thought maybe I had me...

SimDirector Crash - Prepar3D_v3_Professional_Plus_3.3.5.17625
I'm looking for help in debugging why SimDirector for Prepar3D v3.3.5.17625 (with Windows 7 64bit) will not launch and crashes with a "A Fatal Error Occurred". I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice (and that doesn't happen quickly). I've tried deleting all of the configuration files I'm...

Setting video frame rate above 60 hz?
Using simconnect and an external sim we've noticed a bit more latency (between stick inputs and visual response) than we can afford. Further investigation yielded that the latency went down measurably when frame rate went from 30 to 60 hz (somewhat understandable although by more than the difference...

Very good - I've quickly looked at the first video and there is lots of good discussion there. I'll check out the rest. Thanks!
