I beleive I saw it mentioned in another thread that someone has sucessfully included the SimConnect.lib in a debug build within VC 2010, even though the library was built in release. Has anyone been able to replicate this? If so, how!? I keep getting linker errors :(

Thanks

It looks like some effects are backed by a texture. Effects that have textures can be seen and those without cannot. So while textures are visible the particals themselves are not.

Not sure if this is the best thread for this, but why are some special effects visiable in the IR view and others are not? I cannot see the fx_explosionFire.fx effect in the IR, but I can see a fx_contrail_l.fx effect. Is there a certian property that can be set to enable it?

Ok slight update. Does this only work when attaching to the player's own aircarft? It doesn't seem to function on "AI" aircarft.

That's a good idea. I tried it out, but the gauge remained on the window. Also, I am using a directx gauge. I don't think that matters though.

Is there a way to load a gauge into an observer view window? Can it be done even when the observer is defined using SimConnect?
