P3Dv5 HF2 missing airport parking spots and tarmacs

I have noticed this with the release of P3Dv5, HF1 and now HF2. Many airports are now missing parking spots as well as tarmacs at airports as compared to P3Dv4. Where Van Nuys airport (KVNY), in Los Angeles, CA is perhaps the worlds busiest airport for GA aircraft there are some 40+ parking spots in...

Aircraft selection window - a suggestion...

If I may make a suggestion. In your Vehicle selection window I believe the view is to show every aircraft and every livery for that aircraft/vehicle/object. With many addons the list can get quite cumbersome. For myself I tend to collapse the tree to show only the main category but if I close and re...

P3Dv5 and P3Dv5 HF1 missing tarmacs and GA parking

I have I noticed that mid-size and smaller airports are missing parking spots and tarmac textures in the latest rendition od Prepar3D. At first I thought it was just me but after several downloads from LM and re-installs. The results are the same. If you pull up the busiest GA airport in the USA (th...

Uninstall P3Dv5 before a system restore?

If I perform a Windows 10 system restore should I uninstall P3Dv5 before I attempt this? Will I have an issue with activation? The date of the system restore is before I had installed P3Dv5 if that makes any difference.

P3Dv5 HF1 trim wheel spinning

Just wanted to bring this up to the developers. Whenever I am staring out in P3D if I turn my trim wheel ( I have the Saitek/Logitech trimwheel hardware), it will spin uncontrollably. If I turn on slew mode (via the "Y" key), and then turn off slew mode it operates correctly. This is repeatable ever...

P3Dv5 possible issues

Really enjoying the new Prepa3D v5 but I have noticed some possible issues I would suggest taking a look at: 1. Time and Season window - When "in game", pp I have noticed that when I change the Time/Season preview offset my high double-digit FPS will drop to low (11-12fps), even down to single digit...

Re: Objects showing

I recall reading something about this in the P3D SDK where you can ice over lakes at certain times of the year, add camping tents on certain times... things like that so it sounds like that is what you are seeking. Can't recall exactly which part of the SDK it's in but it was not in the effects sect...

Re: Simwest-SOCAL- San Diego, Short flight over near by La Jolla area, by day .

Hi elmucki, A user can adjust how much autogen they wish to see for performance, thus why some buildings may be missing (if that is what you are referring to). I would suggest downloading the free simwestALBQ and check it out for yourself as to the purpose of the scenery, if you like it and how it p...

Re: Photoscenery extremely overexposed in 4.4

I too need to throw my hat in the ring on this. We are currently testing a photoreal product across P3D, P3Dv2, v3 and v4 and the difference between v3 and P3Dv4.4 is quite dramatic. Lighter colors are washed out and very saturated. This is without HDR on. I hope LM can take a look at this to confir...

Introducing simwestFOTOREAL

simwestFOTOREAL started as a simple little project for myself to try and enhance photoreal scenery in Prepar3D. After four years of development, design (and disasters!), we thought it was time to show some development shots of what we got going. My goal was not perfection but immersion, performance ...
