Re: Overexposed photo scenery in 4.5 and 4.4

Hi WarpD

Sorry not the fix as I am not using HDR! I have tried using HDR and dropping the brightness but that did not do a damn thing!

Re: Overexposed photo scenery in 4.5 and 4.4

Hi Rob and WarpD Do not use HDR. I uninstalled both PTA, Envdir and Skyforce and then reinstalled P3Dv4.5 using Poppet's instructions to the letter and all photo scenery even where it is used in ORBX is overexposed a bright white most noticeably on photo scenery roads and parking lots. MegaScenery v...

Re: Overexposed photo scenery in 4.5 and 4.4

This issue which was introduced in P3dV4.4 has been reported by multiple users across 3 forums- ORBX, AVSIM and P3D. Just wondering if this issue is going to be fixed in the upcoming hot fix in 4.5 or do we have have to wait until P3dv5!

Overexposed photo scenery in 4.5 and 4.4

I have the same issue in 4.5 (updated client and content only following poppet's instructions to the letter) as I had in 4.4 (updated client and content only following poppet's instructions to the letter) with photoscenery areas especially roads and parking lots being overexposed-discolored bluish o...

Re: Photoscenery extremely overexposed in 4.4

Hi Folks! I have the same issue in 4.5 as I had in 4.4 with photoscenery areas especially roads and parking lots being overexposed-discolored bluish or white in both ORBX scenery and other photoscenery. Deleted shader cache. Tried all different setting options including default. Did not make a diffe...

Re: Photoscenery extremely overexposed in 4.4

I do not use any of those add-ons.
And I do not have an over exposed airport problem.
Well aren't you lucky! Responses like that do not solve the greater issue of photo scenery being overexposed in P3dv4.4!
All other scenery such as ORBX is fine it is just with photo scenery in general

Re: Photoscenery extremely overexposed in 4.4

Yes I have the same issue with overexposure with UltimateVFR in the Southwest and even with MegaScenery in Georgia and Tennessee. I have tried adjusting lighting settings in both P3Dv4.4 and in PTA...no joy. UltimateVFR used to look really good in all the other versions of P3dv4

Re: P3dv4.3 Stuck at Generating Scenery Files Index on Startup

Resolved the stuck issue using old scenery.cfg airport entries in P3dv4.3 with these steps: 1. After updating client, content and scenery I then deleted generated files 2. Ran 4.3 and regenerated all deleted files including the scenery.cfg adding all of the addons that are part of the scenery_add-on...

Re: P3dv4.3 Stuck at Generating Scenery Files Index on Startup

Hi Poppet! I appreciate your fast and thorough responses they have always allowed me to fix issues in the past without having to post. Yes I did twice. I ended up installing the scenery for 4.3 and then reinstalling my global and hd trees following your instructions. Everything worked and asked me a...

[RESOLVED] P3dv4.3 Stuck at Generating Scenery Files Index on Startup

Hi! Just updated the client and content for P3dv4.3 from 4.2. No issues with install as I have done this many times before. However when I attempt to startup P3dv4.3 I am stuck at 34% with the original scenerycfg or 98% with a new one. Deleted generated files no joy. Uninstalled and reinstalled with...

[RESOLVED] Water Texture Anomalies in P3dv4.1

Recently reinstalled P3Dv4.1 with FTX Global/Vector and several FTX Regions among them PNW and NCA. However I noticed that square darker water textures seem to bleed through in large bodies of water. I tried using REX HD Direct and ENVTEX water textures to cover this up. Alas no joy! Initially I tho...

Re: P3D Crashes when I try to access Settings, etc, from main screen

Yes xmozartx you are right. Disabling the closed folder access worked for me too! Won't get the fps boost but at least realtime protection is on! I sleep better at night with knowing Big Brother MS is watching over my pc.

Re: P3D Crashes when I try to access Settings, etc, from main screen

I had the exact same issue. Went through every single one of the debugging steps short of a complete re-installation. Then I decided disable windows defender real-time protection and it worked and worked consistently. Excluding the addons in my documents and excluding the P3Dv4.1 install folder did ...

I did the relatively quick update install of v2.4 using Rob's install procedures http://forum.avsim.net/topic/452190-prepar3d-v24-patch-will-be-released-monday-92914/<br /> every thing seems to be working just fine. Performance is much better than v2.3. No problems with my many addons so far none of...
