Re: Exposed Fuelflow -> N1 controller table in .air file ?

Can you send me both the .asm source and the generated .air file so I can take a look?

Re: Exposed Fuelflow -> N1 controller table in .air file ?

One thing to note is that the SDK installs under Program Files by default. Without Admin privileges, asm2air will fail if it attempts to output within Program Files. If you run from a command line you would see "ASM2AIR: Error!". Make sure you are outputting to a location that does not require Admin...

Re: Exposed Fuelflow -> N1 controller table in .air file ?

There is no 545 and there is a 1532 - this is consistent with the previous version's sample file.

Re: Using PDK Sound Service

You may want to try providing the full path in your sound file name.

Re: Exposed Fuelflow -> N1 controller table in .air file ?

I have verified the new table does in fact compile into the .air file and loads properly.

Are you using the new asm2air.exe included in the v4.4 SDK?

I assume you are using some sort of binary editor or third party editor... I have no idea why you are seeing those changes.

Re: Using PDK Sound Service

Maybe I'm misunderstanding something, but wasn't the crash with the query_pdk call? The suggestion I gave you was for the subsequent call for the sound service, which would not be possible without successfully calling query_pdk, right? Is that working for you?

Re: Exposed Fuelflow -> N1 controller table in .air file ?

When you say you couldn't find the new table in the .air file, how exactly are you trying to "find" it?

Re: Using PDK Sound Service

What does query_pdk return? I assume this is from the gauges.h and you've verified that other gauge api functions are working properly? As for the pIPdk->QueryService(P3D::SID_SoundService, P3D::IID_ISoundInstanceV440, (void**)&pPdkSoundService); this should be pIPdk->QueryService(P3D::SID_SoundServ...

Re: Exposed Fuelflow -> N1 controller table in .air file ?

Look for AIR_P3DV440_CORRECTED_N1_FROM_FF in the TurboPropSample.asm example.

Re: Sound Issue with P3D 4.4

It's unclear at this point. The v4.4 change was made to fix another issue, so we will investigate how best to handle both issues.

Thanks for testing,

Re: Sound Issue with P3D 4.4

The semi-colon was inadvertent, but it doesn't matter in this case.

Re: Sound Issue with P3D 4.4

You can try adding the following config setting to your Prepar3D.cfg [sound] section.

[sound]
time_constant=0;

Report your results please.

Thanks,

Re: Realistic startup for turboprops - undocumented feature

This has been documented. From the SDK: Fuel flow gain constant table. This can be used in lieu of the single constant (above) in order to make the fuel flow gain a function of N1.The table will load sequentially (.0, .1, .2, ...) up to a maximum of 5 entries. Each entries first value is the N1 inpu...

Re: Query the PDK for ISurfaceQueryManagerV400

You're close, but you need to use QueryService rather than QueryInterface, e.g.: CComPtr<ISurfaceQueryManagerV400> surfaceQueryManager; PdkServices::GetPdk()->QueryService(SID_SurfaceQueryManager, IID_ISurfaceQueryManagerV400, (void**)&surfaceQueryManager); QueryInterface asks the object (PDK in you...

Re: PDK, IBaseObjectV430, GetWeatherInformation

Yes, we do assume you have an ISimulation registered. I do understand what you are trying to do, but the ISimulation and the SetPosition() are what complete the "loop" with the P3D host. This is normally required to keep time in sync for things like cameras and collisions.
