Re: Scenery Problem with bgl airport add-ons

I am not sure what is impossible to do with the new z-biases, except for seasonal transitions, and perhaps visibility distance. I have used them for my past few projects and I can now include more advanced material settings than with ASM layers. It operates under the same principal as ASM, each mate...

Re: Scenery Problem at every airport

"Fixed custom z bias scenery flickering issues including runways and runway markings" Is not likely the source of the issue. This fix pertains to native Prepar3D ground polygons that use z-bias offsets to define layering. FS2002 ground polygons (those you see flickering) do not use z-bias ...

Re: New addon structures

One point I would like to clarify as I had a bit of trouble understanding: for the config files to add/remove addons is this a one-time command run by executing the Prepar3D .exe with the property flags? Or do these flags need to be set upon each run? I assumed the procedure is to have your addon in...

Re: DDS vs BMP

DDS textures have been supported since 2006 in FSX. Almost all third party scenery and aircraft already use DDS format textures. Legacy textures included with the sim could be covereted but there are probably not many textures left in bitmap format except for terrain textures.

The recent update to the SDK has been very helpful in development, 64-bit 3DS Max is a delight to use over the 32-bit version. In another area of development, photoreal ground imagery, the resampler tool is a major bottleneck. While I do not know the intricate internal workings of the resampler tool...

Remember that when you bought FS2004 you got a single update for it, then paid again for FSX, then paid again for Acceleration.

Paying $50 over the course of 1.0, 1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, and future updates is already a much better deal. Then pay again for v2 as it is a new program.

I didn't get FS9 or FSX for free when I bought FS2002. Seems about right to pay for V2.

It's been said before that Academic Licenses will not get major upgrades for free. Maybe somebody from Lockheed will step in and clarify again if something has changed

Hello,

This is a small note. When annotating landclass tiles, any objects placed outside the bounds of the tile will be instantly removed by the annotator. When annotating photoreal areas, objects placed outside the bounds of the photoreal area are retained and possible loaded into the ...

This bug is directly proportional to altitude but also may have a correlation to distance from the equator. The higher you go the greater the shift. About ~1m per 3000ft

If it were to be fixed it may play havoc with many legacy FSX sceneries that compensated for the shift by moving the ...

Look at a Battlefield 3 map. Look at the globe in P3D.

I've made photoreal groundcover larger than Battlefield 3 maps. The FSX/ESP/P3D engine is extremely powerful, it can probably push more data than almost any other, but remember that it's running so much more than Battlefield 3 or an...

Hi guys,

Just wanted to thank the team here, I am very impressed to see that with the release of v1.3 I can find examples of feature requests and bug reports from users that have been addressed. Most specifically my own request a while back of an option to set widescreen in the GUI.<br ...

Hi, I've got a little jot list of feature requests that I'd like to note.

-Widescreen setting in user interface. Currently widescreen support is enabled via the P3D.cfg as in FSX through the WideViewAspect=True switch. If this could be moved to the user interface the would be most helpf...
