Re: ATC Audio
If you open 'Options' and look at the 'Sound' section, what do the volume sliders indicate? (when the muting is going on, I mean)

Re: New PC P3D v5
The base clock is what seems to make the most difference for performance, and a 3.0 GHz clock, even though specified as the 'minimum requirement' really just won't do it. An i7-6700K or better, overclocked as high as it will remain stable is what's really needed. The i7-6700K is quite old now -- I'm...

Re: HARWARE SPECIFIC Questions
Also, the GTX 1050 card only has 2GB of VRAM, which is only half of the minimum requirement.

Re: Curved screen for P3d v5
Moving to individual monitors with undocked windows has its own issues and is not likely to improve your frame rates if they're unsatisfactory using surround mode. Indeed, with three monitors you're going to end up with two undocked windows. At 1920x1080 that MIGHT be OK (it's worth the experiment),...

Re: Managed window positions not saved in HF2 [VERIFIED BUG]
I'm now sure the problem is that 'Load Scenario' isn't reading the values from the .fxml saved scenario file (or if it's reading them, it's not honoring them by placing the managed window in the right place). I did an 'add window' from the window manager menu and then used the window size/location d...

Re: Hat Switch not working properly
If you're using ChasePlane, the hat switch needs to be bound in a different way. As I recall, it's via the ChasePlane 'Preferences' menu (you want to bind it to 'pan'). If that doesn't steer you in the right direction (or if that's just wrong :-) ), I'll look at my configuration in the morning (I us...

Re: Question on Views
It is certainly possible with any of several add-ons (EzDok, ChaseCam, for example). I don't know if there is native support for binding a keyboard shortcut to a camera definition (which is what a 'view' really is in P3D).

Re: Fly Elite Hardware
The Fly Elite collection is pretty high-end simulation hardware and I suspect custom drivers are going to be needed for some or all of the devices. The first thing I'd do is check with Fly Elite to see if they'll answer that question. Their website is kind of odd -- the systems are pretty expensive ...

Re: I Need a New Joystick
The T16000M FCS (the version without the throttle) is a nice joystick. Unlike older joysticks, it does not use potentiometers to sense the joystick position and will have a very long life as a result. It also has much higher resolution than your Logitech Extreme 3D Pro (a venerable and popular joyst...

Re: Saitek/Logitech Pro Flight Switch/Multi-panel
As suggested, SPAD.Next (from spadnext.com) is a must for controlling Saitek panels (and really, for managing just about any other controllers you have for your simulator, including yokes, joysticks, rudders, throttles, and the myriad of buttons, dials, and switches that come on those controllers). ...

Re: Saitek Yolk Trim Hat won’t change view anymore
One issue to examine is whether Windows 10 USB "enhanced power management" is messing with you. In their infinite wisdom, Microsoft enables an especially demented mechanism to "help" with managing power on all USB ports. This can really mess with game controllers (although it ten...

Re: FPS drop in multimonitor viewgroup
You don't say what resolution you're trying to run, or what your video card is, or what the specs of your system are -- which makes it difficult to give specific advice. Broadly, I've never had a good experience with undocked views across multiple monitors. An undocked window makes the simulator wor...

Re: Black Screen when undocked new view.
Am I clear that you're using a single PC with four attached monitors? --and you're running all four of them as independent displays (and not in whatever AMD calls their "surround" mode)? What resolution are you running for each monitor? Is the third window black immediately upon undocking,...
