Re: P3DV4.3 not start after NVIDIA update
I didn't have time yesterday to do a lot of testing, but it seems P3D doesn't like colons on their file name paths. I replaced all the colons with "-" and it worked. It was: <AddOn.Component> <Category>Scenery</Category> <Path>D:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D_x64_ADDONS\Addon Scen...

Re: P3DV4.3 not start after NVIDIA update
Hello Massimo & drcancerman Will Prepar3D launch if you move these 2 blue folders out of the Documents location and onto your Desktop ? PC ► Documents ► Prepar3D v4 files \ Prepar3D v4 Add-ons Please see this short video https://youtu.be/YsOibqIV0OQ?t=52s If this step does not work you can just...

Re: P3DV4.3 not start after NVIDIA update
I may have understood it wrong, but is it getting stuck on the splash screen too? If I did misunderstand it, then my apologies. But it seems I also have the same problem. I've also deleted the shaders cache/folder, deleted the P3D generated files using the shortcut inside the P3D v4.3 folder, but to...

Re: P3D v4.1 CTD at screen switch
I'm having the same problem too. No error message or anything, it just quits. I'm using a 1080 monitor for the visuals, and an old 1280x1024 monitor for undocked gauges, using windowed mode(fullscreen windowed mode). I was flying, when I switched the view back to the cockpit, took a few minutes with...

Learning Center SDK v4: Missing images
There are two images missing on the Learning Center in Prepar3D's website. It is located at: http://www.prepar3d.com/SDKv4/LearningCenter.php -> Options -> Graphics -> World -> Water and Bathymetry -> Water Detail To make it easier, these are the two files missing: http://www.prepar3d.com/SDKv4/prep...

Increase Light limitation
Currently, and since as far as I can remember in all Flight Simulator releases, there is a hard limit to how many [LIGHTS] one can use. The limit being 18 lights, which is not enough for quite a few planes, especially if we want to manually add more that are not hard-coded into the model. I also wou...

Re: Crashing caused by menus.dll
I've been testing it more, and it seems to have been resolved. It seems! So, since I love Prepar3D, Lockheed Martin and the community I came here to update you guys, and say it was resolved. The TL;DR version, check everything in the DLL.XML , spelling, and clashing modules, there can't be duplicates...

Re: Crashing caused by menus.dll
I'm doing a few tests after modifying the dll.xml more. So far no crash, either it got fixed, or I haven't switched views enough. Knowing my luck, it is probably the latter. I'll be doing further flights today, and will keep posted if more crashes happen.

Re: Crashing caused by menus.dll
drcancerman, Not including aircraft, are there any other add-ons installed? Do you see it with the Just Flight aircraft installed with Prepar3D? What specific views are you switching between (e.g. Spot and Virtual Cockpit)? Let us know, Adam Thanks for the reply Yes, Active Sky Next, EFASS, MyTraff...

To curb the excessive crash log, I took the other crash log more important bits, and yes, the exception code keeps changing to Version=1 EventType=APPCRASH EventTime=131261463207339266 ReportType=2 Consent=1 UploadTime=131261463209269509 ReportIdentifier=34c30ea0-c18e-11e6-9e21-90e6ba68ebfd Integra...

[RESOLVED] Crashing caused by menus.dll
I'm having a bit of a pickle here. I've been trying to troubleshoot this for days, and no success. It happens when I cycle the views, from exterior to interior. It happens on all the planes I tested, from Aerosoft A318/a319/a320/a321, to Just Flights planes, to other third party planes and to the de...
