I read over on ASN that if you copy the weather.dll and do the hotfix then reinsert the weather.dll, ASN will work.
Can someone please explain where to copy the p3d 2.5 hotfix file to exactly, it's been a while for me, thanks!

<t>Great advice minime,<br/> <br/> Minime, would you advise to purchase a current graphics card like a gtx770 After the prices come down and become affordable as a result of the newer models, or would you advise to research and buy one of the lower end new models that come out in the next few weeks/...

Thanks LM, reporting 25-30fps in heavy cloud conditions with ASN weather where I was getting 5-7fps before the tweak!

Time to start pushing forward those sliders back to normal

I believe in the power of the forum, thanks ancient Romans for setting the stage:)

Thanks for the explanation kandoit, makes perfect sense, what about lowering the resolution in p3d? Is the fact that I lowered it in p3d the thing that gave me improved fps? I think I'll turn back the nvidiia resolution and test it out,

<t>1330x800 is a relatively low resolution for a large monitor. Lowering resolution will definitely boost your FPS if you are GPU bound in the pixel or raster stages of the graphics pipeline. Situations like heavy cloud cover, particle effects that fill the screen will get you pixel/raster bound and...
