Re: Package Cache data

Late to the party but! after having first installed P3d v6 and then P3d v5, my system folder was really getting short of space so, I did delete allof those folders.

So far so good...

The "weakest" link in your system would now seem to be your monitor. If and when you're able, a higher-resolution monitor will give you amazing results - I got that when I switched from one very much like yours! Jorgen Indeed Jorgen, but I am a bit afraid that the rig will not support suc...

Re: P3d v6 Patch 5 - "Ideal" Graphics settings...

Well, just a short follow up to say that I have reached what I believe to be the ideal settings for my P3d v6 install, and they use pretty much plain/default settings... 1) I re-enabled SMT in my Ryzen 5600x, so now I have 12 logical processors; 2) I use the default JOBSCHEDULER settings created by ...

Re: P3d v6 Patch 5 - "Ideal" Graphics settings...

I have a series of videos coming out on You Tube next month that addresses this exact issue and others regarding GPU, CPU, RAM, monitors and SSDs. Loads of tips on how to get the best from the hardware for the sim, no matter which sim anyone uses. Although I use P3D and all examples will show the P...

P3d v6 Patch 5 - "Ideal" Graphics settings...

Hi, having just upgraded to the latest version - P3dv6 Patch 5 - I am trying to find the best tuning for the settings of my P3d v6 install. My system is Ryzen 5600x (6 core with SMT ON = 12 virtual cores), Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM, 1920x1080 60Hz monitor. I have been away from P3d for quite a w...

navigation database easy update...

P3d V6 comes with it's own navaids database, including airport data. I noticed as soon as I loaded my first flight from LPPT that the runway designators are outdated - 03 / 21 instead of 02 /20 changed in May 2022. Would be great to have the possibility of using, for instance, the Navigraph update s...

Simulation of non-ISA pressure lapse rate

MFS and X-Plane already model this important feature. It is surely a weather modelling feature which is required for Level-D sims in order to allow for training cold or hot weather operations / precision approaches. In P3Dv6 the pressure lapse rate is still standard / ISA, so the effect of cold or h...

Sloped runways and taxiways...

Being supposedly available since v5, would be great to have a few airports where IRL these are notorious features updated in the default P3d v6 database as a showcase. Ulaanbaatar ( ZMUB ) airport runways 32/14 comes to mind, with a threshold alt difference of 213 feet / 71 m...

nav database updates....

I just installed P3dV6 and started a fligth from LPPT... It's nice to see lot's of details added to the scenery, both in the airport area and Lisbon town and surroundings, but I was a bit disappointed to see that Lisbon runways still have the old numbering (03 / 21 instead of 02 / 20 since May 2022)...

Roll rate / inertia

Probably the only nice FM feature I experienced in MFS after SU6 was the fix to the Legacy-inherited roll rate / inertia limit that was capping the roll rate on aircraft with really hig rates of roll and low roll inertia, like the Extra 300 and so on... Recently MFS allowed for a much more realistic...

Does v2 include any update to the core flight / engine (prop, turbprop, jet, etc...) / aircraft systems modelling of MSFS / ESP, or will it inherit that core code?
