If no add on requires Simconnect you do not need to install any... there is a version of simconnect in the SIM that some adons use , others require a particular version , in general it is v10.0.61259.0...

Orbx scenery should be changed with ORBX central , all others if they are greyed out is because they were installed by the xml method, the way to change that is to change the layer number in the add-on.xml file... or use other Scenery Organizer...

Some of the default scenery cannot be removed , they are required for P3D to function.
Other are greyed out as they were installed with the add-on.xml method., these can be removed and reinserted by using the MENU>OPTIONS>Add-ons option

Hi ,, there is not one , the simconnect .ini is created by you to your requirements or those of a program...
it should go in %USERPROFILE%\Documents\Prepar3D v5 Files folder.

You should read the Learning centre section of Simconnect... (in the root P3D Learningcentre.chm..)
