Re: Helicopter on P3D

Hi, Which helicopter have you tried ? Unfortunately, on FSX or P3D, most helicopters flight models are just terrible. This simulator is not the best choice for flying helos. Very few models have a believable flight model, and even fewer are actually compatible with P3D4.5. Only two good models comin...

Re: Future of P3D

Or maybe their are evaluating the possibility to create a new P3D version based on the new "ESP" base of MSFS, as mentioned by somebody else earlier in this thread ?

Re: Future of P3D

It's a valid remark. However, as far as I remember, Flight was not advertised much in advance, and was very soon criticized by literally everybody for its absolutely terrible marketing strategy. At no point in time Flight was ever popular, for anybody. Their first plane addon, the Mustang, was a tot...

Re: Future of P3D

The reactions here are understandable. It's a bit like when FSX arrived. FS9 users said they would keep with FS9, because they invested too much... then they saw the quality of the FSX addons and they jumped to the new sim. Same with FSX -> P3D, especially when P3D became 64 bits. Many FSX users ann...

Re: Future of P3D

I take the liberty to quote: "P3D still suffers from major performance problems, terrain blurries, micro-stutters, and other issues." With all respect, not correct. With the proper hardware and settings, P3D by itself does not have these issues. However, if you pile add-ons galore, especially margi...

Re: Future of P3D

I would also be very interested to know if LM plans anything regarding the upcoming "competitor" that is MSFS... We all know LM is mainly targeting the military/professional customers, so they probably don't give a sidewinder about what the non-entertained customers think. However, they might need t...

Re: F-16.... Which Block?

According to the Aerosoft product page, it's probably a Block 50 or 52.

Re: Valve Index - anyone have any tips for performance?

The settings that impact performance the most for me (i9-9900k and RTX 2080Ti) are (in this order): [*] The amout of SS (Super sampling) set in Steam VR - Try lowering the SS [*] Autogen draw distance (max Medium) - Try Low (very CPU bound) [*] Autogen building density (max Normal) - Try Low (very ...

Re: Valve Index - anyone have any tips for performance?

One more thing. Do NOT activate the MFD's on the F-16. That will destroy your FPS - regardless of using VR or not.
Is the F-16 usable at all in VR ?
Last time I tried it, the cockpit was out of scale, way too small, like a plane for kids. Did they fix that ?

Re: Acer ah101 Windows Mixed Reality

A bit late to answer, sorry. But all "Windows Mixed Reality" helmets will work perfectly with P3Dv4.5. You will need to install some software: - Windows Mixed Reality (installed automatically when you will plug your helmet to your computer for the first time) - Steam (and create a Steam account, if ...

Re: F22 no brakes

Have you tried using the mouse wheel instead of the left/right click ? I don't remember exactly how to operate the F-22, but just like all other aircrafts made by IRIS, the way to operate the switches and buttons in the virtual cockpit is sometimes a bit surprising. You just need to find the correct...

Updated F-16 cockpit in 4.5 content ?

Hi all, I have just gone through the fixes&improvements list for the 4.5 update and saw several modifications for the default F-16. I'm using P3Dv4.4 right now and I never use the F-16 because in VR, the cockpit is way too small. Does anybody knows if the cockpit size/scale has been fixed in 4.5 ? N...

Re: IRIS - Warthog Driver II

I forgot to mention another issue: for some unknown reason, the throttle bodies dissapear from the VC upon pressing the engine starter buttons. If I'm not mistaken, I've seen a similar issue mentioned here in another thread, maybe ? I believe it was happening on the default F-22, which is also made ...
