Texture Resolution dropping despite 4096 being selected
In the graphic GUI when I selected 4096 for texture resolution the sim wont load textures above 2048. When I change something else in the Graphic GUI some the Texture resolution drops to 1024 or even 512 while 4096 is selected. Very annoying! Any solution?

Re: P3Dv5.2 - thank you!
Yeah, I just flow KSEA to CYVR in NGXu and I'll say that was the best flight I've ever had in Prepar3D regarding performance. In the past I would have said touted performance improvements where barely noticeable from one iteration to another but not so this time. Still a couple of bloopers though. T...

Re: Is RTX3090 beneficial for P3Dv5 ?
I'll just add a correction. I have not seen VRAM use at 13GB in P3D V5.1 In fact I've seen it at about 7GB. But I do recall when I had a 2080ti with 11GB of VRAM Running out of VRAM on V5.0 if I recall correctly. Just tried V5.2 with the same scenario where I saw GPU usage at 99% in V5.1 showing abo...

Re: Is RTX3090 beneficial for P3Dv5 ?
Well, I probably run my sim a bit different but I can max out the 3090 at 99% and hit 13gb VRAM and still get just over 30fps in VFR flights PNW near Vancouver. I've never really optimized 5.1 on my new system because I've been using that other flight sim.

Re: Is RTX3090 beneficial for P3Dv5 ?
Well, I have one. But the entire system is new so its matched with a i9 10900k overclocked to 5.2ghz
It depends on what processor you are running too. You can certainly use the extra VRAM. I don't think
I can run 8xssaa but I can run 4xssaa. I'll have a look and get back to you.

Re: P3D V5 Hotfix 2 ?
According to PMDG post on their forum it is holding up the release of the NGXu because of some DL issue not settles yet. They do say that they have the beta of the HF2 and I believe that was posted on May 31st. I also read somewhere (I don't remember wher) that LM would release HF 2 in the next coup...

Re: Prepar3D V5 at 24fps/hz
Sorry about that. I've been doing some experiments with video setting to improve quality. That Video ended up being 4gb and it took 4 days for the upload to complete. It works now. It really need to be viewed on a Display set to 24hz

Ocean swells on Prepar3D V5
Maybe the developers can reduce the amount of foam. Other than that it looks great!

Re: DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG
Is your system overclocked? Is you graphics card overclocked. I had this same issue a while back and discovered that it was related to one of the voltage offsets in my bios being set a little to low. I ended up increasing it by something like 0.01v and I havent seen DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG since. Sor...

Re: Frame issues in Prepar3D v4.5
In Robs post the table indicates a nearly 30% drop in FPS in comparing default i.e. no addons Prepar3D V4.5 with V4.4. Its Seems its the sim and not the addons that is the culprit. Seems odd that something like that would be missed in RC testing.Perhaps something odd happened between completion of t...

P3D V4 Simulation recording
Assuming all the same addons are used can a recording made one Prepar3D 4.4 installation be played back in a Prepar3D V4.4 installation on a different system. This would be for the purpose of making a comparison between performance on one system compared to performance on another. A benchmark if you...
