Re: Frame issues in Prepar3D v4.5
Just chiming in to confirm that I'm also experiencing significantly reduced performance in 4.5 compared to 4.4. I don't know whether the problem is limited to OrbX regions, but it's definitely more severe there, especially when you also add OrbX airports to the equation. It's hard to do any accurate...

Re: V3.3 reboot on final
If the entire computer reboots, it's usually a hardware or driver problem. User space applications like P3D do not have the low-level access or permission to the system to invoke a reboot on their own. I'd suggest you go to Properties for My Computer, then Advanced system settings, the Advanced tab ...

Position in Vehicle preview box?
Hi, This is a minor issue however I was just wondering if there's a solution. In the select vehicle screen where it shows you a preview of the selected vehicle, some aircraft aren't centered. Some are at the top edge of the box, and one, the Carenado PA46T is actually "below" the box so yo...

<t>"Pardon my stupidity, but you define the Z fighting as two 3-D objects on the same plane fighting for prominence or presence. If there is contention for two objects trying occupy the same space in the same plane, isn’t that a function of misplaced objects in the original drawing…or rendering erro...

JimmiG, the bathymetry has nothing to do with the waves, absolutely nothing.
No, nothing at all.

<t>No difference here. It's inside an if-statement so it seems it would only have an effect if Bathymetry is enabled.<br/> <br/> However it's probably still a good idea to put in the missing semicolon. Errors like that can lead to memory leaks and crashes. In fact, I'm surprised it even compiles wit...

<t>I'm happy that 2.5 has finally fixed the terrain shadow bug that plagued the simulator since version 2.3. <t>Sounds like a new bug, or a different one from proven, well-known terrain shadow bug in 2.3 and 2.4. The old terrain shadows bug would cause blotchy, black spots on the terrain to appear. It wasn't exactly flashing polygons, the spots were fairly static, though they would change as you approached...
