Thanks Rob, I've been working around it, but an update would be appreciated.

Re: TrueSky only one "Theme" possible?

EA mode depiction is GLOBAL, meaning it depicts weather without "theme" features for variable wx shown. Generically, trueSky is structured in the following way. It has sky layer. It has multiples cloud layers. It additionally allows placement of storms with lightning and thunder. Each cloud layer h...

Re: P3D V5 - GPU VRAM not registaring correctly or am I reading it incorrectly?

P3D V5 - GPU VRAM not registaring correctly or am I reading it incorrectly? Not sure if anyone can shine some light on this but for some reason when in Sim my Vram max is showing as 6.6Gb when I have an 8GB Vram GPU? (RTX2080) Searched Vram showing incorrectly on Forums and I couldn't find anything...

Re: Old excludes not working in V5?

3rd party airports that were designed for V4 have exclusion polygons to hide the default scenery objects in the P3d4 stock airports. In p3d5, a number of airports were revised and the excludes are now in the wrong location. You either need a version of the 3rd party airport designed specifically for...

Re: Speedtree color and density

In P3d5, the performance impact of Speedtrees is lessened. Is there any thought been given to fixing the bright green textures? I fixed the billboard textures for 5 of the deciduous tree species with Photoshop for my own personal use, so it isn't that difficult to improve the realism.

Can Voice Control really by turned off?- P3d5

I have been having issues with several P3d5 add-ons that also access the microphone. I have P3d5 Voice Control turned off. But when I run P3d5, I get the little microphone icon popping up in the Taskbar indicating that P3d5 is accessing my microphone. When I check the Win 10 privacy settings that di...

Re: GPU Usage Showing As Less Than 5%

I've checked further on this and most 3rd party apps that list GPU usage, interrogate the GPU directly, without requesting information from an intermediate layer such as either DirectX, OpenGL or Vulkan. The Task Manager does not by default, but it also provides more flexibility as to what informati...

Re: GPU Usage Showing As Less Than 5%

It seems to be just the Windows Task Manager. AIDA https://www.aida64.com/ reports GPU use correctly for P3d5, as does Process Explorer, which is a MS replacement for the built-in Task Manager: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/downloads/process-explorer I previously used Process Explor...

Good news about VRAM and Windows 10 2004

In Win 10 1909 (and earlier), ~20% of the graphics card VRAM was reserved for the OS. In Win 10 version 2004 (which is available to members of the Windows Insider Program and also is now starting to roll out globally) it appears that the amount of VRAM reserved for the OS has been fixed at 900 MB, a...

Re: P3DV5 and trackir

One more thing that you should check. You can't have the TrackIR exe and the P3d exe running with different permissions. If one is set to run as admin, the other must be run that way also. This has been observed for many versions of P3d.

Re: 4.5 update no ATC/AI updates this time either :(

@Rob McCarthy

Don’t waste your time improving the the ATC and AI traffic. Buy the rights to VOXATC which does an excellent job of replacing the default features in P3d. VOXATC is a .NET add-on and adapting the code to P3d updates won't be too difficult.

Re: 3ds Max 2020 compatibility time frame?

For anyone who still hasn't figured out a way around this, just open your .3ds file in Model Converter X, convert the textures to a power of 2 resolution and DDS (only if needed) and export to P3d4 MDL format. I haven't lost anything noticeable using this method, but YMMV.
