I had this issue as well. Solution is to make sure you have at least LOW dynamic reflections selected. Mine were off completely. I set it to LOW and it fixed the problem. Same for super shiny aircraft. lol

I think it's definitely worth it, just have to get the bugs worked out. I had to reinstall Windows and decided to try V4 HF3 and it really didn't perform well...I don't remember having issues with HF2.
