Re: DIS Radios functional?

Clifton, Thanks for the quick reply. In looking at the frequencies that are being transmitted, the first radio frequency is matching the COM1 frequency, the frequency for the second radio is 1 which would be an intercom freq. If I'm going to have to use a different solution to accomplish comms, it's...

DIS Radios functional?

Are the DIS Radios functional? We have been working on an application that utilized DIS Interface. The assumption has been that the DIS Radios are functional as Prepar3d has been sending Transmitter PDUs. When we got to the point where we are beginning to implement the Comms, it doesn't appear that ...

Re: Improper Alignment of Parameter Value in Articulated Part record

Researching this further, DIS 5/6 bytes 9-12 are defined as the most significant 32 bits which should contain the data and bytes 13-16 are defined as the least significant 32 bit field and shall be 0. In DIS 7 these fields are defined as above (padding (0) in bytes 13-16). In either case, these byte...

Re: Addition of Articulated Part to DIS Entity State Packet

After further investigation, it was found that the logic for retrieving the parameter is correct but unfortunately the data is not being transmitted correctly in the DIS Articulated Part Records of the Entity State PDU...

Improper Alignment of Parameter Value in Articulated Part record

It has been discovered that the Parameter Value in the DIS Articulated Part Record is not in the proper location within the record. Per the DIS Standard, the Articulated Part Record should be 16 bytes (128 bits) with the 9th-12 bytes being the Parameter Value (float) and the last 4 bytes (13-16) bei...

Addition of Articulated Part to DIS Entity State Packet

I am currently working with a helicopter and need the Rotor Speed to be transmitted over DIS as an articulated part. I have found that adding the following line to DISArticulatedParts.xml (under Native Helicopter) <ArticulatedPart PropertyGet="ROTOR RPM PCT:1" Units="Percent Over 100" Class="Helicop...

sharing DIS Socket

I have multiple programs, including Prepar3d running on the same machine. Unfortunately, when other applications attempt to the socket, they cannot bind because Prepar3d has taken up the socket and will not allow others to use this socket. Although I understand that this can be problematic when NOT ...

Re: SimConnect command to Recalibrate Origin

I would think that the VIEW_RESET or VIEW_VIRTUAL_COCKPIT_FORWARD events would do the trick and the do when NOT viewing through the Oculus Rift S. They seem to have NO EFFECT when issuing the command while viewing through the headset.

SimConnect command to Recalibrate Origin

I am using an Oculus Rift S headset and external controls which interface with P3D via SimConnect. Is there a way to Recalibrate the Origin via SimConnect? Computer & monitors are not near HMDs and I would like to be able to do this via a button on my controls. This functionality of this command wou...
