I am running the new windows 21H1 update and the latest Nvidia drivers on P3Dv5.1hf, and so far no problem.

All sorted now ran repair Microsoft Visual C++ library's in the Apps setting, something must have corrupted them now back to running great again, just installed a new M2 drive will do a full install when 5.2 comes out nudge nudge wink wink!!!!!.

This has only started in the last month I purchased some ORBX scenery have since removed to track the problem, so I live with it or remove all my ORBX scenery and see if that helps.

Why are control towers missing from the default scenery airports in V5.

I have just done with my C: Windows only Drive i used Samsung cloning software which you can download from there site.
It took me 30mins to clone my system drive form one M.2 to a larger 1TB M.2 Samsung 970 Evo plus.

After some searching i have found the answer it appears addon airports that have been upgraded to V5 but not using the new SDK sloped runways, you should continue using V4 ADE 75, using the new ADE V5 will cause the problem i had to reverting to V4 CAD that solved the problem.

It has been suggested you create an exclude everything over the addon airport to stop the default scenery showing, the users should not have to do this changes have been made to the default AFCAD`s .
KDTW for example in V5 terrible compared to V4 default which was good for a default airport.

Using the latest ADE for V5 just editing the gate codes and gate sizes for your AI, turning off the addon AFCAD for the airport and using an edited V5 AFCAD causes default scenery bleed through in you addon airport.
