Re: Specifying a ViewGroup Definition When Launching P3D?

All views in a view group move together regardless of what machine they are on. If you don't include your client displays in your view group, they won't move with it. They also won't respond to changing views on the server, but loading a scenario on the server should open it on the clients too, so y...

Re: Specifying a ViewGroup Definition When Launching P3D?

On a single machine multi-monitor setup, you could simply exclude them from your view group and use standard cameras. I'm not sure if there is a way to do that in MC. You putting them in separate groups, but i think activating the second group would probably close the first group's windows. You migh...

Re: 4K Map Display

Our UI is currently fixed resolution, but windows scales it based on your DPI settings to be more readable. I suspect that turning off DPI scaling will make the entire UI show up at 1/2 size in the center of your display.

Re: Specifying a ViewGroup Definition When Launching P3D?

If you use multichannel, the view group selected on the server should be applied to all clients, and each time the server switches cameras, the clients switch cameras too so that the view groups are all offset from the proper camera. You can define multiple view groups in ViewGroups.xml. The current...

Re: Smooth and No Stutters - suggested solution

I don't have time to address everything mentioned in this thread, but I wanted to clarify a few points. The 2D instrument panels (xml/c++) do update at an 18hz rate. This is documented in the SDK. - The 3D scene is updated and rendered every frame. (I believe this includes xml scripted animations, s...

Sorry we missed this before. Your first step is to look over the PDK documentation in our PDK: http://www.prepar3d.com/SDKv3/LearningCenter/utilities/pdk/pdk_overview.html The two articles to look at would be: Rendering PDK Overview Camera PDK Download the SDK and checkout the PDK samples included. ...

Re: 2 GFX card - undock new view + drag to other gfx = crash

Thank you very much for letting us know what the cause was. Handling multiple views across multiple GPUs is important to us. Add-ons which use directx need to take special care when caching device pointers and reusing them. The same view can change devices when you drag a 3d window from one monitor ...

Re: PDK GetScreenCoord() trouble

The pbh value is being converted incorrectly. This function can still be used with the PBH and XYZ set to zero, and it should give you a valid screen coordinate for a given LLA. I suspect this is how must developers have been using it since this bug has been around since v2. The good news is, there ...

All the known SLI issues are specific to Alternate Frame Rendering (AFR). If SLI is on, but AFR is not being used, you will likely not encounter the issues.
