Re: Ground surface friction
The "ground surface friction" modeled in P3D and ESP/FSX/FS9 before it is a very simple example of how to build an arcade game. The problem is not complex for a mechanical engineer and it has little to do with friction unless you are in a skid at which point you broke contact are now slid...

Re: Sound Issue with P3D 4.4
Hello, I am also having issues with sound. Although mine is not just spoiling noises. I’ve noticed when changing views (even when engines are off) I end up hearing the engine sounds. Then it gets stuck that way and the only way to make the sound stop is to turn sound off and back on again. (Hitting ...

Re: Ground surface friction
I probably should have been a little more specific. I’m not having trouble taxiing on two engines. I’m speaking of how realistic the ground friction is. For example in the real world I have never flown a jet that wouldn’t taxi at idle thrust. You obviously need some break away thrust in many cases b...

Ground surface friction
Hello, Are there currently any plans ( or is it even possible) to improve on the current ground friction physics? After some googling I found an adjustment made through FSUIPC (I think) but that looks like it doesn't work with the current version of P3D. Ground friction is quite high and unrealistic...

Re: Offset Runways
Hi, This problem is also present in the FSX scenery at the same runway, I was setup for dual channel auto land in the 737NG on FSX and if I had let it continue it would have landed on the grass. Update your magdec.bgl , you can get updated file here: http://www.aero.sors.fr/navaids.html It's to be ...

Re: Poor FPS Performance on multiple monitors
Hello, Yes, you should see a performance difference using view groups. There's a default group that will create a view on each display. You can also manually configure view groups if desired. The Learning Center has more detail on this. Does this give you better results? Regards, Rob McCarthy Thank...

Poor FPS Performance on multiple monitors
Hello, I have been tinkering with the set-up of P3D now for the last week or two. I'm building a full-size 737 cockpit to be used with this sim and am planning on running 3 projectors with the sim. After installing a majority of the add-ons I want and tinkering with settings to get decent performanc...

Re: New Sim
The way you eat an elephant is one bite at a time. You might be biting off too much if you last simulator was FS2004. I recommend you set up a single screen workstation and become familiar with P3D, the various display options, how to add on 3d party products and the user interface in general. Ther...

New Sim
Hello everyone, I am new to the forums here but not new to aviation or simming. (Although I haven't had a sim since FS9 and haven't been active in the sim world for a little over 5 years). I'm currently in the process of building a pretty large sim project. (Planning on building a full scale 737NG c...
