Yes, but the question remains
Does P3D and specifically the ATC use any other file/s other than the "airline cfg" and "aircraft cfg" files in order to operate and recognize airlines?

Re: ATC no longer recognizing certain Airlines?
To answer your question no, Velocity is not default. I unintentionally misled by stating default P3D ATC. To clarify, I have Orbx Australian AI and AIG installed and I am assuming these packages are responsible for getting P3D ATC to recognize all the additional real world carriers. Other than the a...

Re: ATC no longer recognizing certain Airlines?
If I understand the question correctly, do you mean an aircraft model? Because P3D by default, doesn't contain any commercial real world airlines. Having said that, my example of Virgin Australia using the call sign "Velocity" was working within P3D ie being called by ATC up until a few da...

Yes, I'm using the default P3D ATC.
Using the latest version 4.5 Hotfix 2 - since release last year.

ATC no longer recognizing certain Airlines?
This issue creeped up on me a few days ago - I noticed that all of a sudden, ATC no longer recognizes certain airline call signs - eg Velocity (Virgin Australia) - when it use to without a problem. I've checked the airline cfg file, and Velocity is in there - each aircraft ie PMDG and AI contain the...

Re: Future of P3D
I thought I'd chime in on this topic as there has not been any information (at least I'm aware of) directly from LM regarding the future of P3D. I'd like to know what LM are planning specifically for P3D in terms of improvements etc in the immediate future ie 12 - 24 months. Unlike some other P3D us...

Re: Time Preview
Hi Ed, @WarpD after conducting some more research it appears that P3D doesn't correctly recognize the differing DST's around the world - and hence the use of 3rd Party Add-Ons are required to achieve it. I located this post and it stipulates https://www.prepar3d.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=126098 I ju...

Time Preview
Hi, I just wanted to know if there is any other function within P3Dv4.5 Client that can be utlized as a Daylight Savings adjustment? I just came across the Time Preview function and adjusted it back 1 hour - as I usually fly in the same region and it is currently observing DST. Appreciate your assis...

Switching Airports and ability to change Time
Hi, I was wondering if at all it would be possible to allow end users the abiity to not only change location whilst in-sim (as we can atm), but to also present on the same screen the ability to alter the time of day? I've had numerous occassions whereby I decided to change my mind and locate to anot...

ATC Menu drops frames significantly momentarily
Hi, as the title states, is there any reason this occurs? Granted, the frame drop 50% (ie 40 frames down to as much as 5 frames) is only a few moments, but I am curious to know why the frames drop and can I fix it. This phenomenon also occurs if I open another menu pop-up such as ASP4 or GSX. Again,...

Controls for default ATC Volume Please
Hi, as the subject line reads, can you please implement some kind of direct control slider within the Audio section that strictly deals with ATC volume? Perhaps ensuring the recording audio files are substantially louder would definitely assist. Having to compensate by reducing volume levels for all...

ATIS & Arrival radio channel range
Hello, I recently moved over from FSX to the latest P3D v4.4 Not a huge issue by any means, but nonetheless I thought I'd raise it here. Whilst flying enroute (commercial Jets) it was always annoying that you couldn't pickup the destination airport ATIS and arrivals radio channel until you were with...
