v4.5 & Missing MAIW Objects
I had the same MAIW (Military AI Works) Scenery Objects, in .bgl format, and textures placed with Airport Design Editor (ADE) at MUGM (NAS Guantanamo Bay) in both FSX and P3Dv4 prior to updating to version 4.5 without problems. After updating to 4.5 , these objects disappeared in P3Dv4.5, but contin...

AI's missing landing gear on tarmac fix?
Can SmallPartRejectRadius be set at 0 (disable) to permit AI aircraft's landing gear to be seen parked at a gate, or is there another method of "fixing" the problem of parked AI's missing landing gear?

Re: Add-on scenery in E drive
if you could remind me where this xml file is ?. Hi Tucanto: Not a recommended procedure, but you made it work. P3D recommends keeping its installed program "pure" and locating your "add-ons" outside of P3D like you had in a separate drive, apparently "E". Check your m...

Re: Aerosoft CRJ700-900 for P3D Installation Question
Hi Martyson: Thanks for the reply and suggestion, but I am now leery of getting anymore "Warnings," like from Mr. Kok of Aerosoft, for posting my inquiry in the Aerosoft Forum and receiving solely a terse reply from Herr Hans Hartmann, the developer, that thought I was referring to him as ...

Re: Add-on scenery in E drive
One other question: Have you checked the .xml file advising P3D as to the location of the scenery files in E drive?

Aerosoft CRJ700-900 for P3D Installation Question
I purchased CRJ700-900-X from Aerosoft and attempted its installation outside of P3Dv4, as recommended by P3Dv4 and even Aerosoft. The installer refused to allow me to select a location on my system, other than installation directly into P3Dv4, so I permitted such installation. I queried Aerosoft in...

Re: Prepar3Dv4 Flight Planning Map Updating Waypoints
Wellll, since no one bothered to reply, let me tell you folks how to update the missing WAYPOINTS and other NAV data contained in that ANCIENT P3D map that some use for flight planning, to have actual names show up and avoid having "WP1-WP whatever". It is done the same way as in FSX with ...

[RESOLVED] Prepar3Dv4 Flight Planning Map Updating Waypoints
Statement: FSX Flight Planning Map can be updated with current Waypoints and Navaids by placing Waypoint or Navaid name, coordinates, and section information into a text file, converting that file to xml, and compiling it to bgl, then placing the bgl into the Scenery folder, to keep the FSX map up t...

Re: Apparently Running in Background
Guess what. It had nothing to do with Prepar3dv4, which of course you knew. I recalled that I had recently installed Acronis Trueimage 2018, that is a backup program, and thought it could have nothing to do with the current problem, since I had not even used Acronis yet, but had installed it. In msc...

Re: Apparently Running in Background
Again, I have given Prepar3D.exe full control to "Everyone" and I have even taken control of the entire Prepar3d folder, including giving "Everyone" full control. That is apparently not the issue. Apparently the program was running in the background before I started tinkering wit...

Re: Apparently Running in Background
Miss Elaine: As stated in my original post, I have read ALL of the suggested fixes posted on this forum and have explicitly complied with each. I have now uninstalled Prepar3d and removed all vestiges of this program from my desktop. I have currently complied with all stated periphery installations ...

[RESOLVED] Apparently Running in Background - Acronis
Prepar3D is apparently installed, as the black start screen appears and a pop-up "Loading Complete" appears for a second and disappears. The HD runs for a couple of minutes and something appears on the taskbar for a flash and disappears, after which the HD is no longer active. The Task Man...
