Re: PC specs
Basically, this is a good starting point. I would change two things, though: Get a motherboard with a Z-chipset - Z690 or something like that, not a B-chipset. Also, get 32 GB of RAM, and make it fast RAM - as high as you can get it. If and when you really get into things, you'll want to overclock b...

Re: Simdirector: CTD when trying to place object
Manschy, For the 0xc0000409, try taking a look here: https://www.stellarinfo.com/blog/fix-software-exception-0xc0000409-error/ and the 0xe0434352 points to a .NET Framework issue. What I would do here is: 1. Run Windows Update, and in Update, under Advanced options, make sure the switch "Receiv...

Re: Simdirector: CTD when trying to place object
Note down the approximate time of a crash first. If you don't remember, then provoke a crash. Now right-click on your Windows Start button, and select "Event Viewer" from the menu. In Event Viewer, click on the little arrow next to "Windows Logs", then click on "Application&...

Re: Simdirector: CTD when trying to place object
Manschy,
Is there anything in the Windows Event Viewer at the time of the crash, especially is there an exception code?

Re: P3D uninstalls itself after download/Doesn't load
Depending on the exact model of the GTX 1050, it can have 2 or 4 GB of VRAM.

Re: P3D uninstalls itself after download/Doesn't load
Installing P3D on a drive away from the C: drive is actually what you should do. But before you attempt installing again, do this: run Windows Update, and in Update, under "Advanced options", make sure that the switch "Receive updates for other Microsoft products" is set to On. L...

Re: P3D uninstalls itself after download/Doesn't load
Welcome on board! But I have to ask you a couple of questions here: What version of P3D did you get? What version of Windows do you have on the system? Did you run the installer as Administrator? And what exactly do you mean by "P3D uninstalls itself"? That one I haven't heard before... Jo...

Re: Is there any scenery library editors?
Kalnon, I think your system might benefit substantially from overclocking your CPU. According to AMD's website, it can go up to 4.7 GHz. I actually have by far the most of my add-ons enabled all the time, except for a few photosceneries in areas that I rarely fly over, and have my frame rate locked ...

Re: Is there any scenery library editors?
There is a facility in the Lorby Addon Organizer that lets you organize the scenery into groups, and to make these groups active so they load, or dormant so they do not load (my terminologies), but I don't use that.

Re: Is there any scenery library editors?
I use it to re-arrange the priorities in the scenery library, so the objects in there are arranged more or less like this: Airfields and AFCADs City photosceneries Photosceneries Meshes Object libraries Base files The simulator's loading order is from the bottom to the top. This way, for example, a ...

Re: Error with the website, you need to optimize
Geir, allow me a quote: "My connection is 500 / 500 fiber". That is the local connection from your computer to your Internet provider's server. Beyond that, the routing (and speed) between the Internet nodes may change from one moment to the next, so the connection speed may vary from one ...

Re: Error with the website, you need to optimize
I am in the northernmost part of Germany. I could suspect (from his name) that Geir is in Norway.
Also, I am in a city. It may be slower if you are in a rural area.

Re: Error with the website, you need to optimize
The problem may actually not be with the server prepar3d.com at all. I just did this command, from an administrative command prompt: tracert prepar3d.com This showed that from my computer here to the server the connection passes through 21 "hops" or nodes, if you will. Such a node is in ef...
