Re: Error with the website, you need to optimize
Geir, allow me a quote: "My connection is 500 / 500 fiber". That is the local connection from your computer to your Internet provider's server. Beyond that, the routing (and speed) between the Internet nodes may change from one moment to the next, so the connection speed may vary from one ...

Re: Error with the website, you need to optimize
I am in the northernmost part of Germany. I could suspect (from his name) that Geir is in Norway.
Also, I am in a city. It may be slower if you are in a rural area.

Re: Error with the website, you need to optimize
The problem may actually not be with the server prepar3d.com at all. I just did this command, from an administrative command prompt: tracert prepar3d.com This showed that from my computer here to the server the connection passes through 21 "hops" or nodes, if you will. Such a node is in ef...

Sherm, the prepar3d.cfg is here:
C:\Users\<your user name>\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\prepar3dvX
where X is your version number.

Re: no click spots in virtual cockpit p3d v6
Yeah, that's the famous "Martyson default solution".
Resolving the issue, as Sabre did, is by far the better solution.

Re: no click spots in virtual cockpit p3d v6
You did say "please don't tell me that old fsx aircraft aren't designed for p3d", but I do need to tell you that they are not designed for P3D . They may work or they may not (more likely not), and their features may work or they may not (more likely not). All guarantees and bets etc etc a...

Re: P3D V5 doesn't runstable
Sherm, overclocking the CPU is almost necessary, IMNSHO.
But overclocking a GPU (other than what various OEMs do) is generally a bad idea and can lead to instability, with very little effect to show in the running sim.

Re: P3D V5 doesn't runstable
Easy, you need a different graphics card.
The one you have has 3 GB of VRAM, 4 GB is the minimum required for P3D v. 5.
If the issue continues after you change the card to one with 4 GB, then you have a Windows problem, which is outside our scope of support.

Re: Removing these Prepar3d Billboards from Airports
I actually looked for a scenery object named something like "prepar3dsign", but there isn't such a thing, as far as I can see.

Re: Removing these Prepar3d Billboards from Airports
Sabre, try to go to KEGE. My theory about these billboards only being in the Academic version was shot down. They are there in the Professional Plus version also, both in v. 5 and v. 6. But, until now, I have only seen them at KEGE. I agree with the OP that they should be removed, but that may only ...

Re: Removing these Prepar3d Billboards from Airports
I am not certain, but I see that you are using an academic license, and that may be why.
I will see if that also happens at KEGE with my Professional Plus license.

Just make sure you can go back to 10.
As far as I know, there are no performance benefits in going to 11.

Re: which version of P3D can work with my computer
The various system requirements are here: https://www.prepar3d.com/product-overview/system-requirements/ As you will see, your system will run P3D v. 4 - but only just, the system is barely over the minuimum requirements for v. 4, so do not expect a stellar performance, even without add-ons like the...
