Dennis,
I assumed that that was what PMDG meant, but I had to be sure.
That way is how it should be installed, outside the grasp of UAC.

Re: PMDG Addon and QW addons aircraft do not start engine one
Dennis, I do not own any PMDG products, so could you please explain what "with direct file of Lockheed Martin/Prepare3d by passing program as recommended by PMDG." means?

Re: Sound Problem P3DV4.5
Phillip2, I now have read this thread from one end to the other, and you have posted in it exactly twice, where in both posts you only vent your frustration. Frustration is easy to understand, but without a description of your issue, your system, and what you have done to date to fix your issue, hel...

Re: Future of P3D
I take the liberty to quote: "P3D still suffers from major performance problems, terrain blurries, micro-stutters, and other issues." With all respect, not correct. With the proper hardware and settings, P3D by itself does not have these issues. However, if you pile add-ons galore, especially margin...

Re: Reinstallation of P3Dv4.5 after win 10 reinstall
Given that it just was Thanksgiving, a 4-day weekend, they will have a LOT of catching up to do - when I worked tech support in the US, I could have more than 200 emails, plus forum responses and endless telephone calls to deal with after such a long break. If some of your add-on manufacturers have ...

Re: Reinstallation of P3Dv4.5 after win 10 reinstall
From the time-stamps on your posts, it could look like you're in Europe or the UK. This is one that requires a L-M reply, I think, so we should let them get to work, US time, after the Thanksgiving weekend. I would imagine - but this is where we need some L-M support to be sure - that you need to re...

Re: Black Screen - scenery issue
I suggest you troubleshoot P3D first, and do follow the advice of the two other gentlemen. After that, if you feel like going to Win 10 (which I will recommend) then take Dan's advice and read up on the topic before you do anything. I can only say that for the 2 systems I had to upgrade from Win 8 t...

Re: Future of P3D
Somehow, I have some really serious doubts about L-M being in the rumor business... and they sure aren't going to say anything. As said earlier in this thread, I want to see something tangible from Microsoft before I believe that MSFS 2020 really is going to come out. I want to see something for the...

Re: Black aircraft on lit ramp
So, after you installed P3D, and before you installed any add-ons, did you see the issue then? If you did, then you should post your system specs here, and look over your settings. If you did not see the issue, then you installed the add-ons... after installing which add-on did the issue appear? The...

Re: Flicking screen no matter what I do
Peter, you got hold of the problem. There is absolutely no reason to NOT limit the frame rate, the human eye cannot see more than 25-30 FPS anyway. Limiting the frame rate gives the CPU and GPU the time necessary to build the frames properly, so you see no flickering of stuttering and therefore a mo...

Re: Which is better for P3Dv4, AMD or Intel
Daniel, It might be worth emphasizing here that the so-called "Turbo" or "Boost" clock rates in a CPU, no matter if it's made by AMD or Intel, mean exactly nothing when it comes to a complex piece of programming like a flight simulation. What matters is the sustained clock rate, and only that. Jorgen

Re: Program crashing
When I had this error, the following is what fixed it for me: 1. Download and install the DirectX Redistributables from Microsoft - you may also, while you're at it, get all the .NET Framework and C++ Redistributables, so you cover all the bases 2. Update Windows to the latest level, using Windows U...
