Scenery has thrown Blue and GReen boxes?

I have a load of ORBX scenery and it has been working great. A few days ago, I loaded up 6-8 new ORBX airports and P3Dv4.5 is throwing transparent blue boxes and green boxes of various sizes at various random locations around the scenery. I have verified files are not corrupt. What possibly could ha...

Moved to KSLC. Looks fine.

Re: Scenario Loaded from "Active Runway" opens at 1,500'?

Sure. P3Dv4.5 Lot's of Orbx. Not added anything else recently. Was not an issue last week, so obviously something changed 1. Startup Loads Default - (KTEL) (F;ight1 KingAIr) (ASN for P3Dv4) 2. Change Airport - (KSLC) (Active Runway) Loads Vehicle at 1,500' (Cold and Dark) (Gear Down) etc. 3. Start e...

Scenario Loaded from "Active Runway" opens at 1,500'?

A new phenom. When loading a scenario constructed from Scenario screen (in this case KSLC), the aircraft is loaded at 1500', gear down, engines off...just like if I was on the ground. Does not happen on all airports, but a lot, seemingly random. What could be causing this and how might I fix it? Tha...

Re: Photoscenery extremely overexposed in 4.4

Rockcliff: Boy do I understand your frustration with all this in P3Dv4.5. I have a lighting setup solution that provides me a decent experience on 4K HD screen (or I just can't tell anymore!?). I have a pretty high end hardware setup too, so lucky there. Millions of dollars in ORBX only scenery. And...

Re: Photoscenery extremely overexposed in "4.5"

Very funny. You are right, who knows what ORBX/LM are doing on this, Haven't noticed an update from either recently. Just for reference, the "...overexposed in 4.4...." was the original posting before 4.5 release. I have 4.5 and assume most are quick to update...but I don't know that for s...

Re: Photoscenery extremely overexposed in 4.4

It's frustrating, but it appears LM doesn't know how to fix this or doesn't view it as a priority. I have gotten my install to work now. Lot's of scenery settings tweaking, but looks decent. No idea how I did it. All ORBX. Here's the settings lineup I am using for what its worth: Image and Texture -...

Re: Photoscenery extremely overexposed in 4.4

Those are amazing differences. I am sure a fix can be worked out between ORBX and LM. Like you, I have tried almost everything I can think of inside P3Dv4 settings with marginal success. You are correct, the scenery quality is a major factor within any sim. I would really like to get totally immerse...

Re: Photoscenery extremely overexposed in 4.4

Can everyone affected, please post post details of your Options->World->Terrain settings (all 4 sliders values and the HD texture checkbox). If you're using the cfg to override the texture exponent please make note of that as well. Does enabling disabling HD textures impact the final texture qualit...

Overexposed Scenery in 4.4 / Cockpit view "blurry"?

I agree with the previous posts. I have tried multiple Lighting slider settings and have gotten a reasonable result with Bloom -0, Sharpness - 80, Saturation - 75. (Shadow Quality - Low and all Lighting boxes checked). I am guessing LM will address this issue in 4.4. It's a shame because 4.4 is such...

Re: Photoscenery extremely overexposed in 4.4

I have same issue with extensive ORBX scenery in the mix-HDR settings help a little to be fair. Oddly perhaps, MFD and other gauges that I "shift+F1" etc look great? Would love to see this fixed somehow as the Prepar3Dv4 is so much better than the others. Likewise, I cannot seem to sharpen...

Re: P3D crashes after working for 10 minutes or so.

Similar problem. It works fine for around 10 minutes then blanks off. I have a fairly high end rig but don't have sliders maxed either. I too recently updated Win10 Pro...could that be it?

[RESOLVED] Unable to complete download of Prepar3d v4.1?

Have tried several times. When it gets close to the end of the download (Firefox 57.0.2), it throws an error "Failed". Does it matter which browser you use?
