Re: P3D v5 runs fine, but slows down rest of computer
I think I've found a solution. My P3D profile in Nvidia control panel had the FPS limiter for background processes set to global setting (off) as I wanted, however after having set an arbitrary FPS limit instead, run and close P3D, then set it back to off in control panel, the rest of my computer is...

Re: P3D v5 runs fine, but slows down rest of computer
i5 8600K clocked to ~4.7GHz, the C disk (where P3D is installed) is brand new so no old files to retrieve. I used to have v4 on the old disk, not v5, and of course there were no such issues there.

M2 NVMe 1TB 3500MB/S
Clean Win10 ~10 days ago, no tweaking of P3D or any enhancement tools of any sort, just some addon planes and scenery all with specified v5 compatability.

Re: P3D v5 runs fine, but slows down rest of computer
True, you did offer some quesitions, however I didn't think them too relevant and got more occupied with your opinions about my doings, which seriously ticked me off. Have you asked Navigraph Support about that? : No, because it is not a Navigraph issue. The desktop applications does simply not have...

Re: P3D v5 runs fine, but slows down rest of computer
@ Eseem , When you are on a p3D flight and are also doing "Youtube, Discord streams, GIFs, smooth scrollng on websites" etc, you are no longer flying a flight. When pilots are reporting problems in the forums a typical question is .. what were you doing when the problem happened? Note: No...

Re: P3D v5 runs fine, but slows down rest of computer
Appreciate the efforts gents, but the issue is that P3D brings the computer to a grinding halt (but runs fine itself) in a strange way which very much feels like a weird driver quirk or similar. I can dump all the settings to minimum or push them all to max, the GPU and CPU can run far below 100%, b...

Re: P3D v5 runs fine, but slows down rest of computer
That's a solution for those with dedicated systems. P3D v5 does not use 100% of resources available, but it does stop everything else from running smoothly regardles. Again, MSFS and other software requires just as much and sometimes more of the computer, but does not make my navigraph chart app spa...

P3D v5 runs fine, but slows down rest of computer
Anything with any graphics utilization at all (Youtube, Discord streams, GIFs, smooth scrollng on websites even) will be severely laggy and slow if P3D is running. This is not the case for MSFS nor XP11, or any other heavy game (e.g. RDR2, F12020, and more), while using things outside those titles m...

Re: P3D 5.1??
v5 looks and performs very well, but I've returned to v4 for now, the stability just makes the downgrade worth it for me. Can't wait for v5.x, the stable release!

Re: Device hung...
Just to close this loop, I was (with a lot of difficulty, for some absurd reason) able to update win10, but it did not make v5 more stable. Have downgraded to v4, and while it does not look nearly as good or give the same FPS, the stability of it is such a nice thing.

Re: Device hung...
Thanks, I did not know win10 didn't do that on its own, I just let updates run whenever it prompts me. I'll give that a try. The main issue is how random it is. Did another flight now, no crash. Before the recent one, the previous crash was with HF1 on 1nm final after a 9h flight. Reminds me of when...

Win10 10.0.18362 GTX 1070 on driver 451.48, i5-8600K @4.5GHz (stable for 18 months, no BSODs or equivalent ever), 32GB RAM, run on 1080p single monitor with second monitor for peripherals. I am aware it is a beta, but if that's the crux I'm not sure I'll be flying before it's released as stable. I'm...

Clean install of HF2 and clean install of newest NVIDIA drivers, FSlabs 320, MK Dublin to UK2000 Manchester, ASv5 latest beta. Medium high settings. Third flight in total with the same setup and addons installed, the first was a short hop also to Manchester, the second was a 5h40min cross-Europe fli...

Re: aircraft sound problem
No, this was not a feature, this was someting wrong.
I followed the .cfg-change suggested in this thread, and that solved it.

Re: aircraft sound problem
Have the exact same issue, sound composition changes as I pan around in VC. How did you fix it?
