Re: F-16's MFD performance

Looks like LM bought a lemon from Aerosoft. How does one open a support ticket?

Re: F-16's MFD performance

I did the same test and you are correct. With Unlimited selected in the Sim: F16 with MFDs off in VC cockpit 70 FPS F16 with MFDs on , right MFD in MAP 52 to 60 FPS F16 with MFDs on, right MFD in Terrain 44 FPS I did a second test: When terrain is displayed the FPS can be locked e.g. at 20 and movi...

Re: Any free recording software for V4?

If you own an nVidia graphics card you already have the software needed. It is in the accompanying program Geforce Experience. Press alt+z to start and stop recording. Browse its settings if you need to change the hotkeys.

Re: F-16's MFD performance

Both cold and dark and ramped.
I do not think I am getting through..
-It happens even on a clean install
Sit on the runway, load in your F-16 and watch the fps counter take a freefall.

Re: F-16's MFD performance

It is very easy to reproduce. Just sit on the runway on watch the fps counter drop as the MFDs are powered on. No matter what is installed
Which add-on/payware planes have you tested without this fps drop?

Re: F-16's MFD performance

On a clean install I do not need to limit the rate down to 30. The sims runs with no pop-ins and very smooth at ca 50fps then. But that is until I turn on the MFDs on the F-16.

Re: F-16's MFD performance

Is your setting set to Unlimited? Are you talking F16 or Orbx? Which other aircraft are you testing that has no drop? 1: My setting is set to 30fps so I get perfect loading of sceneries without pop-ins. But this is of no importance for the thread. 2: I am talking about the plane F-16 that is defaul...

Re: Frame rates and micro-stuttering

Inflight: Start by limiting your frame rate by half. You have to give it some seconds so the sim can finish rendering. Fly around a bit and watch if the autogen and terrain load correctly without pop-ins and blurries. If you are happy with the results, increase a bit -rinse and repeat. Based on your...

Re: F-16's MFD performance

What are the frame rates on all aircraft you tested ... not a % figure?
It drops from 40 avg. down to 25ish on my install with some orbx products. On a clean install I get about 50-55fps, but that too drops down to 35ish.

F-16's MFD performance

The MFDs in the F-16 drain a lot of computing power. I am seeing a 30-40% drop in framerates when I turn them on. This is nowhere near the drain I am seeing from other aircrafts MFDs, both stock and add-on planes. I am thinking this has to be in the way it is coded since it stands out so abysmally p...

Re: Plagued with KernelBase.Dll CTD Errors with 4.4

I had this problem with CTDs reporting kernelbase.dll with every single flight. It could last anywhere from takeoff to several hours inflight. It proved to be a matter of my hardware not being able to perform as much as I wanted it to in my settings. After I limited my framerate to a level where the...
