Re: Recommended Hardware for P3D

I apologize Jorgen, You are quite correct. In my defense, I have been using quite a few versions of P3d (way back in V3, V4.0 days). I found that every time a new version came out, I was replacing and updating either my GPU, or motherboard and CPU, or building another PC. With P3d V4.0 you did start...

Re: Recommended Hardware for P3D

The simple answer is: The best PC you can afford. P3d will continue to use all your hardware resources, particularly if you have all the sliders over to the right, requesting the highest quality detail, out to the horizon. As you do so, your frame rates will go down. If you don't have a fast machine...

Re: View Group Management

In Windows, you most probably have the display scale set higher than 100%. This changes the size of icons and pop up boxes, sometime making them bigger than you screen. You could temporally go to your Desktop, right click, open Display Settings and change the scale to 100%. Do your modifications and...

Re: What’s the Windows 10 FPS fix??

That driver you mentioned could have an inbuilt bottle neck and induce wavy lines in your system? :-)

Your question did get some interesting replies that I will be exploring. Thanks.

Re: FSUIPC

Not required for vanilla P3d. However, You may require it to service some add-ins that you may add later. They will tell you if they need it to communicate. Basically, it is a small program that reads most (almost all) of the variables within P3d (and previously FSX), and exposes them for numerous o...

Re: Next Hotfix

From my limited use and research, they have nothing to provide a multiple view like P3D View Groups. At one of their conferences they said it would be developed 'in the future'. I see some people are stretching the main view but not having much success.

Re: Next Hotfix

Personally, I'm very happy with V4.5HF3 in my cockpit set up. I put off purchasing V5 due to all the problems everyone was having getting a stable system. I have purchased MSFS and tested it for a week after release. Does not compare for connect ability and outside views (view groups) So back in V4....

Re: VERY odd joystick issue

Wonder if you could try actually assigning AP Off/On toggle etc. to another joystick button and then delete it? The assignment might be hidden?

Re: Multi Screen Flicker

I'm still on V4.5HF3 I have four screens displaying only the outside view (210 degree) Prosim provides instrumentation on networked PCs. I had/have a black flicker occasionally on my left 75 inch screen, flying at height, when running at 'unlimited' frame setting and getting about 45fps. I took the ...

Re: 3 time 21:9 Resplution curved Screens

Sorry Matthias,
I don't know.
I have used various size, and aspect ratio monitors, as my cockpit set up developed over the years. View Group allowed me to make those adjustments. Even if the monitors were not touching.
I haven't experimented with stretching the image.
Some one else may know.

Re: 3 time 21:9 Resplution curved Screens

Glad you got it working for testing. Remember, everything is referenced from your eyeball position: left, right, up and down. When you adjust the width of your monitor, you will also need to adjust the height angle to avoid a squashed or stretched image. with your 21:9 monitors you are going to calc...

Re: 3 time 21:9 Resplution curved Screens

I only use the View Group for my 210 degree extremal view over 4 monitors (1 x 75 inch plus 3 x 55 inch). All my instruments and displays are separate and are run by Prosim, many on networked PCs. I have never used Nvidia Surround. It will take you a while to get your head around View Group but it i...

Re: 3 time 21:9 Resplution curved Screens

Hello Matthias, You are likely to receive a few potential solutions. The least expensive is that I would suggest you examine the in built View Groups option. There are a few YouTube videos around for you to get the idea and the P3D Help section goes into a lot of detail. I have a 4 screen view group...

Re: P3D Support in the future

At the moment, with my hardware 737 cockpit and Prosim I am staying with V4.5HF3. (Active Sky, REX, Orbx, AIG) I looked at P3d V5 but balked at paying AUD $300 for an upgrade that many people could not get working. I have purchased the top deluxe whatever MSFS (for AUD $179) and have been testing it...

Re: NEW NVDIA DRIVER WORKS GREAT IN P3D

I'd be interested to hear how it improves P3d? I did install the latest driver at the same time I installed MSFS (tested that for 2 days and have come back to P3d) I don't notice any difference? I am running P3d v4.5HF3, over a View Group, consisting of four non G sync monitors? What difference shou...
