P3dV6 AMD RX-6800XT

Hi, I was wondering if there is any progress regarding the support for AMD Graphic cards in version V6. With the older versions I had always the "walking Ants" problem whatever setting I used. Are there any users with an RX 6800XT with good results? Thanks in advance for any help. //Arthur

Re: P3Dv5.1 AMD Radeon Artifacts (White lines & Flickering)

Any updates regarding this issue with AMD cards? I just bought an 6800XT and install p3d HF3 vanilla. After some testing I saw the same problems as mentioned earlier in this topic. AMD cards are becoming more and more interesting for the majority of users because the bigger price drops and hardware ...

Re: 3PD 5.1v crashes on installation start up.

I had the same problem yesterday evening. I' m afraid that it has to do with the new Windows 21H1 which came out lately. Before the update I didn't have any problems. Before the Windows update I didn't change anything on the Prepar3d installation. I didn't update the Nvidia driver as well. Unfortuna...

Re: Comparison of P3DV4 and V5?

For me V5 has no advantage above V4.5HF3 (frame rate related). X-plane/Vulcan (11.5b9) is superior with the frame rates. My system: i5 9600K OC 5Ghz / GTX1080 / 32Gig ram. Very difficult to say how much fps you will get. It depends on the add-ons which you will run. But it must be possible to get go...

Re: i5-9600k for P3Dv5 with addons

The big advantage for the i5-9600K is his overclock capabilities. Mine runs rock stable at 5 Ghz. Never ctd.

I never understood the advantage for the i7 while mostly hypertrading will be switched off.

Re: CPU 100% and app crashes on approach

Sorry, this is a bit OT.

6700K at 3.4 GHZ?

Why don't you overclock this processor? The 6700K can be a very good performer and there are many success story's in overclocking this processor.

Re: New PC build

This weekend I did an extensive upgrade of my PC. I know that AMD are very good processors but I left my Ryzen 5 and changed to I5 9600K. Together with my new Gigabyte Z390 mainboard I can easily clock to 5GHZ+. Now I'm getting more than 50 FPS in QW 787 2000 ft above FlyTampa EHAM..... (8x SSAA) Th...

Re: Geforce RTX 2060

It is better to post the specs of the rest of your system as well.

The system must be in balance for getting the most out of P3D.
