Re: Fear to go to v3
I've had every version since the beginning. I paid for v3 and am happy with it. You have nothing to lose and you can decide if it works for you. Since v2.5 and v3 will install side by side, buy it and try it. If you don't like it, uninstall it and ask for a full refund. There is no risk on your part...

Re: Unknown voice in cockpit!
It sounds like you have RAAS Pro installed. The default is a female voice and, if you haven't changed the settings, you're likely getting all the inflight warnings including the "caution" warning which may sound like the "com" you're hearing if the volume is low.

Re: Ultimate VFR?
I'm not making any accusations, just stating a fact.
I preordered Oahu on January 5, 2010.....yes, 5 1/2 years ago from Ultimate VFR and I'm still waiting for it.

Re: Prepar 2.5 problem with Nvidia card
You'll have to ask Lockheed Martin or one of the moderators about the license. I understand what you are saying. I don't think LM would be upset you asking for your money back till you can sort this out. Maybe Saul or Rob or one of the developers can work something out for you. Good luck. I'm sorry ...

Re: Prepar 2.5 problem with Nvidia card
You did not waste your money. Lockheed Martin has a generous refund policy. Look at the Support Tab on the website and see refund policy. If you have had the software for less than 60 days, they will refund you. Just follow the directions. The software should work, your hardware is adequate. I run P...

Re: Prepar 2.5 problem with Nvidia card
Another point I would highlight is that actually I am using external monitor by display port. Maybe it will not help but just to give more details. Thanks That's important to know. I believe the display port runs off the Intel side. That would account for why you lost the display when Saul told you...

Re: Prepar 2.5 problem with Nvidia card
Anytime you change the video card, it is best practice to delete the shaders folder; Prepar3d will create a new one when restarted. just be sure Prepar3D is now "seeing" the correct video card. Since you are switching between in Intel video card to the NVidia card....Prepar3D thinks you sw...

Re: Prepar 2.5 problem with Nvidia card
Did you delete the main cfg file (it will still have an entry for the HD card) and delete the shader file ( it would have stored values from the HD card)? Prepar3D will rebuild them on the next launch. Then close Prepar3D, reboot, then go again. Prepar3D thinks you changed video cards, which you ess...

Re: Prepar 2.5 problem with Nvidia card
Salvo, The answer is to tell Optimus to use Prepar3D on the NVidia card not the HD card. Get into your NVidia control panel...under manage 3D setting, global settings, scroll down to Power Management mode. Change the drop down from Adaptive to Prefer maximum Performance. Right above that is Multi-di...

Re: Prepar 2.5 problem with Nvidia card
Salvo, Your configuration is most likely a muxless designed based on Optimus. Disabling the iGpu was not a good idea. See if you can get inti your machine by booting into safe mode. If so, enable the iGpu that you disabled. Reboot back into normal. Then, get into your NVidia control panel and change...

Dean, How soon are you expected to complete Oahu? For those of us that purchased the beta version 4 years ago, will your system know to give us the final product at no charge? If no to both of these questions, do you have a way to send us beta purchasers an updated link since the one's on the legacy...
